Grand Manan Half Marathon and 10 Km

Located in the beautiful Bay of Fundy, Grand Manan is the jewel in the crown of the Fundy Isles.  A relaxing ferry ride starts your adventure.  The hospitality is second to none and every turn in the race brings a new breathtaking vista.

The course offers some rolling hills mixed with some fast flat sections.  Starting in North Head you run through all the small fishing communities of the Island.  The turn around has a unique surprise for a fishing community, a deer farm! 

July 25th is the date for this amazing event.  Start time is 10:00 am so you will need to catch the 7:30 ferry out of Black's Harbour.  You can take your car if you want to explore, but you don't need it.  The race starts very near the ferry landing and the organizers will arrange rides back to the ferry from the finish line.  If you would like to make a weekend of it (you really should if you haven't been there) you can camp at the Ancorage Provincial Park or consider staying at  the Surf Side Motel.  For motel info contact gmsurfsidemotel@yahoo.com
